My hobby is now my profession, what else can one ask for? Since my childhood saw my mother using pestle & mortar making paste of fresh red chillies, coriander, turmeric making curries out of that and definitely the taste was amazing. It ignited my interest in cooking and as I was very close to my mother. My grandfather was a chef but at that time I was too young to learn anything from him but loved the way he use to cook and bake. I remember he taught me how to make steam cake, banana fritters and yummy doughnuts. Today also I still have that smell and taste back in my mind.
My mom had always been my culinary teacher but I also pursued various courses to improve my skills.
In 2010 we moved to Calgary from Pakistan, and started working at Grumman catering and that’s where my culinary journey started, following that I joined Masala Bhavan which expanded my horizon as a chef.
